==========================================================================
chunkio.py: Read and write large files in chunks, instead of all at once.
NOT USED by frigcal: supplemental example only.

It's been reported that Windows error 22 -- "Invalid argument' can be
raised when writing buffers to files > 64M on networked drives with
older MSVC libraries. This doesn't seem an issue in frigcal: Python 3
is required and uses later MSVC libs, and calendar files are relatively
small (the developer's largest is 876K and this spans 12 years' events;
64M wouldn't be reached until some 897 comparable years of events, and
it's somewhat unlikely that anyone would be using frigcal that long...).
Still, this module's functions could be used to avoid the potential
altogether if ever needed, with a slight speed hit on loads and saves.

Note: chunk size means bytes for binary files, but characters (chars)
for text. Due to end-of-line translations on Windows and Unicode
encoding/decoding everywhere, a char may map to and from one or more
bytes. Hence, buffer size cannot map to absolute bytes for text files.
Given that we're interested only in avoiding excessively large buffer
transfers here, the inexactness for text should be acceptable. Python
may manage text transfer buffers in additional ways beyond both program
control and this module's scope (text is not bytes in a Unicode world).
